[2-(Di-tert-butylphosphinomethyl)-6-(diethylaminomethyl)pyridine]ruthenium(II) chlorocarbonyl hydride - Introduction
Carbonylchlorohydrido[6-(di-t-butylphosphinomethyl)-2-(N,N-diethylaminomethyl)pyridine]ruthenium(II), min. 98% (Milstein Catalyst Precursor) is a transition metal complex, usually used as a Catalyst in organic synthesis.
The main properties of the compound include:
-Molecular formula: C27H49ClN2PRu
-Molecular weight: 607.10g/mol
-Appearance: light yellow solid
-Melting Point: Not Applicable
-Boiling Point: Not Applicable
-Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents such as chloroform, ether and acetone
Carbonylchlorohydrido[6-(di-t-butylphosphinomethyl)-2-(N,N-diethylaminomethyl)pyridine]ruthenium(II), min. 98% (Milstein Catalyst Precursor) is mainly used as follows:
-as a transition metal catalyst in organic synthesis, participating in carbonylation reaction, hydrogenation reaction and hydrogen transfer reaction
-For the synthesis of synthetic drugs, natural products and organic molecules
-Play an important role in the conversion of carbonyl alkenes and alkynes
The preparation method of the complex mainly includes two steps:
1. First, thallium chloride and 2-(dimethylaminomethyl)-6-(di-tert-butylphosphinomethyl) pyridine are reacted to give [6-(di-tert-butylphosphinomethyl)-2-(dimethylaminomethyl) pyridine] Thallium chloride.
2. Then, by reacting with a ruthenium compound (such as [RuCl2(PPh3)3]), under appropriate reaction conditions, the thallium chloride is replaced with the carbonyl of the ruthenium compound, this gives Carbonylchlorohydrido[6-(di-t-butylphosphinomethyl)-2-(N,N-diethylaminomethyl)pyridine]ruthenium(II), min. 98% (Milstein Catalyst Precursor).
For safety information, the following handling and storage precautions are recommended:
-Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including chemical protective gloves and goggles.
-Avoid contact with skin, eyes and respiratory system to prevent inhalation or ingestion.
-Operate in a well-ventilated area to avoid dust, smoke or vapor.
-Store in a dry, cool place, away from fire and flammable materials.
-Do not contact with oxidants and strong acids to avoid dangerous reactions.
The above information is for reference only. Please refer to relevant literature and official safety data sheets for specific operation and use.
